A world of difference! First and foremost, it will change the way you work.
Let’s summarise. With Syncro System racking in your van:
This is true whatever your profession. Today we are looking at a Ford Custom L1 H1 owned by a boiler service technician, but the same advantages would apply to electricians, door and window installers, or mechanics. The only thing that changes is how the liners, racking and accessories are arranged. Each installation is tailored to meet the needs of the user.
Though the Custom is only a small-medium van, its cargo compartment is rationally laid out and accessible, making it ideal for installing racking and accessories.
Syncro racking has been installed on both sides of this Custom while the bulkhead has been equipped only with a cargo lashing accessory.
This arrangement lets you carry everything you need in an orderly manner while reserving space for bulky cargo near the rear and side doors.
Let’s take a closer look.
The only form of bodywork protection installed in this Custom is the floor liner, but the material has been carefully chosen.
The floor is covered in panels of rubber-coated plywood made from 12 layers of birch wood glued together with phenolic adhesives. The exposed edges at the van’s doors are protected by stainless-steel edge profiles and the surface features a special rice-grain rubber coating. This small but important detail ensures maximum grip when moving and working inside the van – a fundamental safety feature for anybody who has to work with wet or oily equipment.
The owner of this van decided not to install any other liners, but Syncro can also supply and fit panelling for the walls, doors, bulkhead, roof and wheel arches.
On the left of this Ford Custom we can see:
The rear-facing side panel is fitted with a fold-away vice bench with integrated support and vice. This useful accessory provides a solid work surface for use whenever needed. It can be used from the ground and occupies only a minimum of space when folded away.
The key feature of the racking on the right of this Custom is transparency. Between the floor-level compartment, partly enclose by a bottom profile, and the top shelf are Multibox cabinets containing 24 pull-out drawers in PMMA, a transparent plastic with truly unique properties.
PMMA does not yellow because it is resistant to UV and common chemicals, does not crack because it is amazingly tough, lets you see exactly what is inside, brightens up the cargo compartment by reflecting light, and is lightweight too!
Each container can be opened in place or, by pulling upwards at the end of its travel, completely removed for filling or transport to the work site.
The objective is clear: to transform your van from a mobile warehouse into an effective mobile workshop. But how should you choose what accessories you need?
First of all, ask yourself the following questions:
1. What kind of jobs do you do most often?
2. What tools do you need every day?
3. What spares and materials must you have with you at all times?
Got your answers? Good. In that case you can distinguish between what you always need, what you often need, and what you only need occasionally.
At this point, your choice should focus only on those accessories that you really need. The boiler technician who owns this Custom chose only cargo retaining accessories!
It’s the only way to arrange an obligation-free consultation for your own van!
