With Syncro System racking you can combine horizontal elements freely one with another. The only limitations on your configuration are the size of your van and your cargo transport needs. This total flexibility offers numerous advantages.
By choosing Syncro van racking, you get:
1. a fully customised configuration
2. optimisation of space: every inch can be used
3. operational flexibility. Most elements of racking can be moved, replaced or added as your needs change.
In addition:
4. a personalised configuration means improved ergonomics and reduces time-wasting and movement inside the van
5. freedom to choose your own combination of racking elements enables you to divide the cargo compartment into functional areas, greatly simplifying stock management
This page illustrates an Iveco Daily L4 H2 transformed into a mobile workshop by a Syncro System racking centre. The vehicle is owned by a multi-brand commercial vehicle dealer and is used to provide maintenance and roadside assistance for vans.
The vehicle is particularly spacious, being a full-length, medium height variant, and therefore an ideal platform for a complex racking system. The van already had a floor liner fitted when it came into Syncro’s workshop to have its racking and accessories installed. Syncro’s technicians therefore limited themselves to lining the walls to full height with panels of galvanised and painted steel sheet.
The cargo compartment was then divided into four functional areas: a cargo transport area, two storage areas and a workshop area.
Let’s take a closer look!
A fairly large area on the left of the Daily L4 H2 near the rear doors was set aside for transporting bulky cargo.
Most of the space inside this Daily for servicing commercial vehicles is devoted to storing the tools, equipment, spares and products needed for the work.
Let’s look closer.
On the left wall we have three columns of racking side by side. The first two consist of enclosed compartments, with the exception of the top shelf, which is open. The first floor-level compartment is equipped with a patented lift-and-rotate door and a lift-up door. The second is equipped with a stainless steel tray for transporting liquids and is also enclosed by a lift-up door. Above these compartments are 9 metal drawers with non-slip mats and internal space dividers, six case trays and two shelves with top-pivot doors.
The third column, near the bulkhead, is entirely open and consists of a large bottom compartment, partly confined by the workbench and equipped with a Syncroblock bar, hooks and lashing straps, and two with lashing straps at the front.
The right wall provides even more enclosed storage. Here, however, one of the two floor-level compartments is only partly enclosed by a lift-and-rotate door that folds down to provide unrestricted access. The other floor-level compartment is fully enclosed by a lift-and-rotate door combined with a lift-up door. Above are seven drawers, six more case trays with self-latching mechanisms, and six configurable shelves, four with top-pivot doors and two open at the top.
A fold-away vice bench is fixed to the rear-facing side panel of this side of the van.
The work area in this Daily L4 H2 is located at the bulkhead and consists of a half-height column of racking topped by a marble-look plywood work surface with raised sides and back. If needed, the worktop can also be used to carry cargo, and a Syncroblock bar with hooks and straps is fixed to the bulkhead for this purpose.
The plywood work surface is supported by a column of eight drawers of different sizes, a floor-level compartment with fold-down and lift-up doors and a small shelf enclosed by a front panel.
