Plumber, electrician, service engineer or mechanic: every trade has its own specific needs, and not just just in terms of layout. Every customer needs personalised solutions to suit his trade or profession and to match his working methods.
Many different trades and professions turn to Syncro System to fit out their vans. Among them is the glazier, whose work involves cutting, installing and repairing windows, glass doors and mirrors. What does a glazier really need in his van?
On this page we examine a racking solution installed in a glazing firm’s Ford Transit L2 H2 , with double-sided racking on the right of the van and cargo retaining accessories on the remaining walls.
The secret of durability far any van is simple. It’s called lining. Protecting the interior with lightweight but strong lining panels keeps your van in peak condition for far longer and saves you a fortune on bodywork repairs!
The glazier who owns this Ford Transit asked us to protect every inch of the floor and walls while leaving the roof and bulkhead in their original condition.
The floor is covered by a plywood floor liner with a marble-look surface and stainless-steel edge profiles. For the walls the customer chose painted steel panelling. Even the wheel arches have been covered in. The materials used for this are a combination of marble-look plywood and steel.
In over thirty years of work in the van racking sector, Syncro System has come up with umpteen ways to save space in the cargo compartment.
One in particular has been employed in the Ford Transit seen on this page. The only column of racking installed in the van is located at the side door, and this position was chosen for a good reason! The configuration is double-sided, meaning that the containers in it can be accessed from inside and outside the van!
In particular, there is two-sided access to the open shelf about half-way up the column, which has lashing straps on both sides, and to the two configurable shelves at the top, both of which are equipped with top-pivot doors.
The floor-level compartment is equipped with a strap-type case transport kit. Because the bar along which the strap attachments slide is located on the inside, cases can be removed most easily from outside the van.
The central section of the racking is divided vertically into two parts. In one part, two shelves are accessible from inside the van, one of which houses an Ecoflow power station. A shallow MultiBox cabinet of eight pull-out transparent containers with internal space dividers occupies the other part and can be accessed from outside the van.
The other walls of this glazier’s Transit L2 H2 are equipped with cargo retaining accessories.
Left and right walls: Airline perforated rails run at half-height along both walls, and are combined with hooks and lashing straps.
Bulkhead: Another section of Airline rail with a third hook and strap lashing system runs across the bulkhead at mid-height. A Syncroblock slider bar, installed at the top of the bulkhead, is equipped with adjustable telescopic hooks.
Centre of the floor: Here, Syncro System has installed an item of the customer’s own equipment, a specially designed frame for the rapid fixing and safe transport of sheet glass.
