This page illustrates a particularly well thought out and fully customised racking solution. The van in question is a 2014 Ford Transit L3 H2 owned by a company that produces and sells key copying machines.
The customer wanted:
A fully customised racking solution improves productivity, reduces work times and ensures that machines and equipment are always readily accessible. It also helps you to deliver a higher quality service and keeps your van in top-top condition over time. Let’s examine, one by one, the special solutions devised by Syncro System for this van.
As always, let’s start with the interior liners fitted to this Transit. Liners are essential, but Syncro customers can choose from a range of different materials.
In this Transit L3 H2, the floor is covered by a marble-look plywood floor liner with certified non-slip stainless steel edge protectors.
The side walls and upper sections of the doors are covered with painted, galvanised steel panels that are shaped by laser cutting machines to provide maximum protection in the event of an accident.
The same material has also been used to line the underside of the roof, providing protection against impacts with cargo and tools and reflecting light more efficiently to help illuminate the entire load compartment. The bulkhead is protected by aluminium chequer plate panels, shaped to follow the contours of the van’s bodywork.
One special feature of this lining system is the stainless-steel bumper footplate at the rear doors. This not only reinforces the bumper to withstand the weight of heavy cargo but also provides a high-grip relief surface for extra user safety.
The solution installed in this Transit is a great example of how Syncro racking can be customised in any way and to fit any model of van! Twinned side panels have been used on two of the racking columns to give them a greater than usual depth of 67 cm. The customer’s aim in requesting this solution was to create work surfaces large enough to support the van’s key copying machines and to allow operators to work in safety and comfort.
Let’s take a closer look.
Left side. The racking is asymmetrical in depth on this side, being deeper opposite the side door, where no racking is installed, and narrower towards the rear doors. Large, open floor-level compartments are provided at the bottom of both columns. Above these are three modules of two drawers each, with a super-strong marble-look plywood work surface on top.
Right side. The racking on this side is of double depth and provides a larger number of enclosed storage compartments. The two identical columns start with floor-level compartments enclosed by two doors. Patented lift-and-rotate doors close the bottom sections while lift-up doors enclose the larger sections at the top. Further up are shelves with top-pivot doors and two drawers with non-slip mats and metal space dividers. A large, marble-look plywood panel forms the work surface, just like on the left of the vehicle.
Syncro System’s installation team dedicated a great deal of care and attention to this Transit’s electrical wiring system to ensure that all the power tools, electronic devices and key copying machines can be used anywhere on the worktops.
The right and left side walls of this Transit L3 H2 are equipped with three and four power outlets respectively. On request, Syncro can make your van fully autonomous by adding a generator with an inverter or an Ecoflow Power Station, which incorporates a battery, a charger and an inverter and can be connected to the mains supply, the vehicle battery or a photovoltaic panel on the roof if you wish to take advantage of a fully sustainable energy source.
The last detail that perfects the looks and usability of this van is the lighting system.
Syncro System boasts an extensive catalogue of lighting accessories for the cargo compartment and adjacent areas. In this case, four LED tube lights are fixed to the roof liner panels. These consume very little energy, but ensure excellent, uniform illumination throughout the van’s interior.
