Speed and efficiency, full autonomy and adaptability to all situations are the keywords that best describe this Mercedes Sprinter L2 H2 that Syncro System has fitted out to service lifting equipment such as forklifts, cranes and tractors.
The van is a medium-large capacity model, and Syncro System has installed racking on both sides: storage elements of various types on the left and a work area served by a tool rack and containers on the right. The bulkhead area is equipped with everything the customer needs for complete autonomy on the move, with a selection of accessories adding the necessary functionalities.
Let’s take a closer look, starting with the liners.
Adding liners to protect the van’s bodywork is the starting point for all Syncro racking projects.
The floor liner installed in this Mercedes Sprinter L2 H2 is made of marble-look plywood, while the doors and side walls are protected by polypropylene panels.
Syncro can line the walls of your van with a wide range of materials: electrogalvanised and painted steel sheet, lightweight peraluman, anodised aluminium, extra-strong steel or honeycomb polypropylene. The last of these has a thickness of around 4 mm (compared to an average of 1 mm for the other materials) but is extremely light and offers good mechanical impact resistance. Another advantage of this material is that it is non-toxic and can safely come into contact with foodstuffs with no risk of migration of harmful compounds.
➡Idea for maximum flexibility: Syncro has milled the floor liner and recessed in it two Airline profile rails for attaching hooks and lashing straps and securing cargo ready for transport.
Syncro racking centres have accumulated a wealth of experience in van transformations. Between 1996 and 2024 Syncro has fitted out over 100,000 vans and designed just as many custom racking systems to meet users’ needs and suit all makes and models of van.
The only way to achieve a perfect, fully customised racking solution is to:

Sealed trays are often chosen by Syncro customers who need to transport cans of oil or fuel. Syncro’s sealed, stainless-steel tray prevents drips from reaching shelves or the floor since any spillage is contained inside. The tray is welded at the joins and therefore completely sealed and can be removed quickly and easily for emptying and cleaning. Inside the tray, jerry cans are supported on a raised grille, so that drips fall to the bottom and do not foul the underside of the cans.
In this Mercedes Sprinter L2 H2 the sealed tray has been combined with a case holder kit consisting of a bar at the rear and a sliding shuttle. This super-functional combination allows the user to carry only a few cans at a time without them sliding around during transport.
The right of the Sprinter is fitted out as the van’s work area. A work bench, delimited by raised edges on the sides and back, is supported by a racking column consisting of a floor-level compartment with one of Syncro’s patented lift-and-rotate doors and, above it, three “normal” metal drawers and four sideways-opening drawers.
An LED strip light under the Multibox cabinets illuminates the work surface. The special features of these sideways-opening drawers are worth noting.
For a van to be really effective as a mobile workshop, it needs to be fully autonomous in a wide range of logistical situations.
