If you’ve got plenty of room in your van, you can use it in two ways:
1. with the help of Syncro System experts, you can design a custom racking system to exploit all or part of the interior;
2. organise internal space without racking and therefore without reducing available floor space, using only accessories to carry and retain the van’s cargo on the road.
The Fiat Ducato L4H2 seen on this page is owned by a firm that distributes automotive spares nationwide.
The customer’s needs were simple: the interior had to be organised in a functional and flexible way to transport cargo safely.
Interior liners are a powerful weapon in the fight to extend the life of working vans. Liners help you avoid costly and annoying interruptions to your working life to repair scratches, dents, holes and rust.
Syncro System supplies an extensive range of liners and panelling for your van’s cargo compartment. Each type has its own specific characteristics but all are custom-made to fit specific models of van.
This Ducato L4H2 is fitted with a plywood floor liner with a rubber-coated surface – the highest grip surface available on today’s market!
The walls and doors are protected by super-strong and easy to clean steel panels. The van’s owner also asked Syncro to enclose the wheel arches. This was done using two different materials: the vertical surface is made from same material as the floor liner while the part that follows the contour of the wheel arch is made from aluminised steel.
As these photos clearly show, this Ducato L4H2 is fitted only with four cargo bars arranged horizontally across the cargo compartment. This simple idea creates separate compartments for medium-size cargo and stops material sliding around on the road and incurring damage or damaging the bodywork.
Rounded profile aluminium rails are fixed to the side walls of the van to hold the cargo bars in place. The ends of the bars engage with holes milled in the rails and guarantee a secure grip at whatever position you want. The bars attach to the rails by means a spring-loaded mechanism operated by a button near the bar end.
Syncro cargo bars are extremely flexible in use: customers can move them to any desired position in a matter of seconds without the use of tools!
If not properly secured inside the van, cargo can slide around and strike the walls, breaking and causing damage to the bodywork. Cargo bars are great for dividing up the van’s interior into separate compartments, but lashing straps are still needed to secure the material between them and prevent movement and slippage.
Syncro System supplies a vast range of cargo retaining accessories, including a large selection of hooks and straps to suit all shapes and size of load.
In this Ducato L4H2, hooks and straps can be attached to the rails positioned opposite each other at different heights on the side walls, and to a third rail half way up the bulkhead. The van’s original anchor rings can also be used to attach lashing straps. They are kept fully accessible by stainless-steel cups in the floor liner, part of the exclusive installation technique used by Syncro System.
The Airline rail at the top of the right wall is fitted with a set of compatible hooks that can be easily moved to meet changing needs.
