A Ducato for a tank drainage company

Assistance is the heart of work on the move

For a machinery, systems and equipment servicing business, success demands RAPIDITY, the right TOOLS and an ORDERLY, EFFICIENT approach.

Whether you work at a customer’s premises or on a construction site, all these criteria must be met. And to do so, you need a van racking system that is properly designed, orderly, spacious, and organised so that everything is always to hand.

A Fiat Ducato for servicing cesspit and septic tank drainage vehicles

The van seen on this page is a Fiat Ducato L2 H2 owned by a company that provides septic tank drainage, video inspection and sanitisation services. The racking agreed on by Syncro System and the customer has been installed along both side walls. Though the bulkhead has been left clear, it has been equipped to permit the safe transport of equipment and goods of all kinds.

The key feature of this project is the presence of cargo bars. These strategic accessories allow the interior of a van to be divided into separate compartments without having to erect partitions.

Let’s take a closer look at how this particular combination of racking and accessories has been arranged.

Liners: indispensable and always recommended

Syncro receives some quite unusual requests regarding racking and accessories. Whatever the solution decided upon, however, there is one thing we always strongly recommend: lining the interior of the cargo compartment. Rest assured this is not a matter of boosting sales. We see liners as an essential addition to all vans and the only way to guarantee a long working life without unnecessary inconvenience and expense.

This particular Ducato L2 H2 came into our workshop already equipped with a plywood floor liner. All the Syncro team had to do was make a groove in it to fit the Airline rail (see below). Syncro, of course, can supply and fit floor liners made from marble-look or rubber-coated plywood, aluminium tread plate or even both these materials combined. The bulkhead was protected using custom-shaped plywood panels, while the walls and doors were completely covered with pre-shaped and pre-drilled steel panels.

Drawers and shelves on the left of the van

The racking on the left of this Fiat Ducato for servicing drainage and sanitisation trucks is composed of:

Transparent containers and shelves on the right of the van

The configuration on the right of this Fiat Ducato demonstrates how Syncro racking can be offset at the rear while staying perfectly aligned at the front. Using elements of different depth allows the racking to follow the contours of the van’s body while remaining perfectly secure, attractive and functional.

Starting at the bottom, the right-side racking consists of:

  • a floor-level compartment with a lift-and-rotate door
  • two configurable shelves
  • a row of Multibox cabinets with a total of 15 pull-out transparent containers
  • a second set of cabinets with another 10 transparent containers, some tilting and some pull-out

The racking on this wall is complemented by a fold-away vice bench with its base securely fixed to the floor, complete with forged steel vice.

The Fiat Ducato’s accessories

If you want maximum functionality from your van, don’t miss the accessories section of the Syncro catalogue. It really does contain everything you need!

On the left of this Ducato:

  • cargo retaining accessories on the rear-facing side panel of the racking: a bar rack with a metal flange and lashing strap, and a cable holder at the top
  • cleaning accessories on the rear door: a handwash kit with water tank and tap, and a soap dispenser

Focus: cargo bars for vans

The four vertical bars you can see near the Ducato’s bulkhead are Syncrostop cargo bars. These are made from aluminium and are specially milled on the larger sides. They can be positioned anywhere along two Airline rails inside the van. These rails are also made from aluminium and are milled to accept the ends of the bars. One rail is installed in the floor liner and the other on one of the van roof cross-members.

Thanks to the profile milled into the larger sides, cargo bars can be fitted with attachments and lashing straps for securing cargo. Other cargo bars can also be attached perpendicularly to construct a robust frame.

Syncro cargo bars also have a rubber profile on the narrow side to avoid scratching delicate cargo. These practical Syncro accessories are protected by a European registered design.
