Racking for a Fiat Ducato for roadside assistance for trucks

THE FIAT DUCATO IS AN EXCELLENT BASE FOR SYNCRO SYSTEM RACKING!

The Fiat Ducato has been a commercial success ever since production began back in 1981. The same van also appears as the Citroen Jumper and the Peugeot Boxer, two models that have always been praised by users for their generous load capacity, excellent safety, good economy and impressive manoeuvrability.  The installation of Syncro System drawer cabinets, shelves and other racking modules is easier than ever in the 2016 version thanks to a larger, more rectangular load compartment.

RACKING FOR A COMPANY THAT PROVIDES ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE FOR TRUCKS

The Fiat Ducato shown in these photos is fitted with a Syncro System racking configuration designed especially for a company that provides roadside assistance for trucks. The body liners are worth a closer look. A resinated plywood floor liner protects the original floor and provides a perfectly level and rigid surface for the racking. In this particular case, two cargo bars with anchor rings for the safe transport of large items have been recessed in the floor. The bulkhead liner that protects the cab wall has been fitted with two cable holders and a cargo rail with strap for securing equipment. The lining panels on the doors and walls of the van are much stronger than the original body panels. By absorbing potential impacts from moving cargo, they protect the body against damage and even possible perforation. Another useful item is the tough, weatherproof, stainless steel footplate on the Ducato’s rear bumper. This non-slip surface provides risk-free access to the van’s load compartment.  The racking on the left side wall consists of drawer cabinets in which the drawers are complete with non-slip mats and metal dividers, case trays, a plywood work top and a top tray for carrying long items inside the van. Note how the space around the wheel arch has been utilised: in addition to serving as the base for the racking above, the wheel arch cabinet, which is fitted with a door, provides a practical storage space.  This highly effective way of maximising space inside the load compartment has been repeated on the right side wall, which is also made up case trays and drawers. These photos show exactly how Syncro System racking can exploit the full height of the van body by using modules of varying depth to follow the profile of the bodywork. Another practical way of transporting cargo safely is by using lashing straps like those shown securing the canisters at the bottom.  The Syncro product range also includes a large number of useful accessories. In this case the customer has chosen to add a practical fold-away vice support at the rear of left side cabinets and a Syncro handwash kit on the door. The handwash kit consists of a rack with a 10-litre canister of water with tap, a canister of microsphere handwash cream for removing the toughest dirt and a sheet-steel paper roll holder. On the right, a fire extinguisher bracket with strap is fitted to the back of the cabinets and a steel cargo rail with strap is provided for securing heavy cargo.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED, JUST LIKE BACK IN THE WORKSHOP!

At the front of the left side is a compressor-generator combo complete with extra air tank connected to the air hose winder at the rear of the side cabinets. Perfectly integrated in the racking, these accessories are essential for full autonomy, safety and efficiency on the road just as back in the workshop.  3Thanks to the many accessories included in this Syncro racking system, the customer can offer his own customers a rapid, well-organised, safe and complete roadside assistance service for heavy goods vehicles!
