The owners of this Fiat Ducato L2 H2 presented Syncro System with two very specific requests. They wanted to keep the cargo compartment almost completely free for transporting bulky machines, but also requested a large number of containers for detergents, sponges, brushes and spare parts.
These two requirements seem irreconcilable: how can you have lots of free floor space and a large number of storage containers at the same time? Syncro System has the answer even for problems like these!
The solution adopted for both sides of the Fiat Ducato seen in these photos is particularly compact and generally does not protrude beyond the wheel arches. The configuration nevertheless provides over 100 containers and 7 shelves! The van doors have also been equipped for easy loading and unloading: the rear doors with a ramp, the side door with a van hoist! Let’s take a closer look at this clever solution.
Protecting your van’s delicate bodywork is particularly important when you are going to be loading and unloading equipment and material daily. The sort of accidents that lead to dents and scratches are far more likely under these conditions, putting your van’s bodywork at serious risk of damage.
The company that owns this Fiat Ducato L2 H2 for industrial cleaning welcomed the recommendations made by the Syncro team and requested an almost complete set of liners. A resin-coated plywood liner covers the floor; the wheel arches are protected by liners custom-made from marble-look plywood on the sides and steel on the top; the walls and doors are covered in super-strong steel panelling.
Syncro technicians can also fit roof liners if you often need to load particularly awkward or long items of equipment.
The bulkhead is fitted with an additional Multibox cabinet. The photos show this empty, before the transparent containers were added. For the bulkhead, the customer chose a deeper cabinet than those on the side walls.
The section of Airline milled rail at the bottom of the bulkhead can be equipped with ring attachments and lashing straps with buckles or ratchet tensioners to secure cargo for the road.
The racking on the left of this Ducato combines the need to save as much floor space as possible with the need for more spacious storage than that offered by transparent containers. The system therefore includes:
The racking on the right of the van is an exact reproduction of the compact racking on the left, and fills the entire side, up to the sliding door, with fifty more transparent containers.
Industrial cleaning work requires the use of wheeled equipment like sweepers and scrubber-dryers. These are heavy machines and loading and unloading using physical effort alone would be challenging and could well be risky. For situations like this, Syncro System offers a wide range of access ramps.
This Ducato is equipped with a fixed ramp on a pivot mounting. Though installed on the door sill at the rear of the van, when not in use this kind of ramp does not impede access because it can be folded and pivoted to one side, leaving the opening unrestricted.
In addition to the ramp, this Ducato L2 H2 is also equipped with a van hoist. This is positioned at the sliding side door and consists of a vertical pillar secured to the van’s body at the top and bottom and a folding arm with a winch. The folding and pivoting actions of the arm are manual, but the winch itself is electrically powered and operated by a remote control. It can lift loads of up to 200 kg.
This important accessory at the Ducato’s side door protects the van’s users against the avoidable injuries caused by loading heavy items into the vehicle!
