Technicians who install and service air conditioning systems often choose medium size vans to get to their customers’ premises or to the construction site they are working on. We have a typical case here: this Dacia Dokker has been converted into a compact mobile workshop thanks to a custom Syncro System racking solution.
Let’s have a closer look at how the cargo compartment is organised.
Various options are available for protecting the interior of vans like the Dokker. The simplest solution is to cover just the floor, but all other surfaces can be protected too, even the ceiling and wheel arches.
The Dokker shown in these photos is fitted with a
marble-look plywood floor liner. The rear doors are lined with two
prepainted steel panels. Fitting a floor liner is essential, as it provides a perfectly level walkable surface and improves the floor’s strength and humidity resistance. Just as important, the type of liner shown here eliminates the risk of slipping as you enter and leave the van and also permits the floor to be cleaned in just a few seconds.
This Dokker is fitted with Syncro’s latest Ultra system racking, as can be seen clearly from the side panels, in which the holes are equally spaced in both dimensions. These holes can be used to mount drawers, shelves, accessories and other types of equipment at any height and in any combination. Racking elements can even be moved at a later date without having to re-drill! The racking on the left side wall of this van, which is operated by a firm that installs air conditioning systems, consists of two open, floor-level compartments, one shelf of plastic containers, two case trays complete with Galaxy plastic cases with clear lids and two other open shelves. The presence of a spray can rack inside the rearmost of these compartments demonstrates the flexibility of the Ultra system. Side panel holes can be used in either direction and at any height. This means that racking elements and accessories can be fitted wherever they are needed and even moved if needs change! The racking on the right side wall consists of an open compartment at floor level, another shelf of pull-out plastic containers, two cabinets of Multibox transparent containers and a top shelf. A vertical cabinet of tilting and removable transparent containers is fitted to the front of this racking column, where it is easily accessible from the van’s side door.
The
Dacia Dokker is a popular model with many installation technicians. You can see a Dokker used for installing fire and theft prevention systems
